The Apurinã tribe make their famous green Rapé from a plant they call Awiry. They don’t use ashes, only Awiry. They just dry its leaves, pound them and sieve the powder. It doesn’t contain tobacco. Because the Awiry grows close to the river, this Rapé can only be made in the dry season when the river is low. Awiry is traditionally inhaled through a straight tube, a unique snuffing style that differs from most Sacred Snuff varieties that are blown up the nose.

My take—green rapé, no tobacco. Soft and heart opening. Good for entering into a mystical heart or dream space. Good on its own or mixing with tobacco-based ones.
